Given:

Mayank joined  the academy and paid ₹1200 in the first month including registration fee and ₹700 in the second  month.

To find:

Which linear equation shows the total fee, ݕ ,for ݔ months and the total fee for 6  months?

Solution:

From given, we have,

Mayank joined the Swimming Academy and paid Rs. 1200 for the fee in,

Total = registration fee + monthly fee.

In the next month he pays Rs. 700.

Assume the registration fee to be x,

The linear equation as 700 + x = 1200

where x = Rs. 500.

700 + 500

The registration fee is Rs. 500

For 6 months, the amount of money given by Mayank will be,

6 × 700 = Rs. 4200

Total amount paid by Mayank after 6 months = 4200 + 500 = Rs. 4700

Option (c) 4700, 700 + 500 is correct.
