Given,

Length of pool = 20 m

Breadth of pool = 15 m

Height of Pool = 4 m

Area of Pool = CSA + Area of base

=> Area = 2(l+b) x h + l x b

=> A = {2(20+15) x 4 + 20 x 15} m^2

=> A = (2 x 35 x 4 + 300) m^2

=> A = 580 m^2

Now,

Cost of cementing = Rs (12 x 580) = Rs 6960

Answer:

Length = 20m

Breadth = 15m

Height = 4m

Area of 4 walls =

2(l + b)h

2(2</strong><strong>0</strong><strong>+ </strong><strong>1</strong><strong>5</strong><strong>)</strong><strong>4</strong><strong>

2 (</strong><strong>3</strong><strong>5</strong><strong>)</strong><strong>4</strong><strong>

</strong><strong>2</strong><strong>8</strong><strong>0</strong><strong> {m}^{2}

Area of floor =

l \times b

20 \times 15

300 {m}^{2}

Total area to be cemented =

(300 + 280) = 580 {cm}^{2}

Cost of Cementing :

Area × Rate

580 \times 12

6960
