What would have been the color of sky if earth had no atmosphere? Give reason for your answer?
Explanation:
- As we all know the Earth's sky color is blue.
- The color blue is due to the atmospheric scattering of sunlight in any directions.
- If we at a certain point in sky which is blue in color that is due to, light originated from the direction of the sun which is bounced around a bunch of times in every possible direction until is reaches our eye.
- Therefore, when there will be no atmosphere, the background of sky will be black in color, and it will be black because- all the light from the sun and other sources will follow straight paths to our eyes.
Hence, if there will be no atmosphere then the color of sky will be black.
