solution :- A tumbler is filled with water has an inverted tube with Mercury as shown in figure. According to question, air pressure is more than inside pressure. e.g., P > P₀ . So, water exert force to Mercury . Due to this Mercury rise up . Hence, level of Mercury will be rise.
