Answer:

the selling price should be 9500 and 9800 respectively

Explanation :-

10000 × 5 /100 = 500

so on 5 % discount the price will be 9500 and similarly for 2% it will be 9800

Answer:

C.P = Rs. 10,000

The shopkeeper allowed successive discounts 5% and 2%.

S.P with a discount of 2% =

 \huge \mathfrak {\frac{100 - 2}{100}  \times 10000}

 \huge \mathfrak {=  \frac{98}{1}  \times 100}

 \huge \mathfrak {= Rs. 9800}

S.P with a discount of 5% =

 \huge \mathfrak {\frac{100 - 5}{100}  \times 10000}

 \huge \mathfrak { =  \frac{95}{1}  \times 100}

 \huge \mathfrak {= Rs. 9500}
