A table coaster in the shape of a rhombus has diagonals of lengths 10cm and 24cm. Find the length of each side of the coaster.​

Now, diagonals of rhombus bisect each other at right angles.

Thus, we have

AS= 1/2×AC = 1/2 ×10= 5cm

and

BD= 1/2×BD= 1/2 ×24=12cm

Since, AOB is a right angled ∆ , by Pythagoras theorem, we have

AB^2= AO^2 + BO^2

= AB^2 = 5^2 +12^2

= 25+144

= 169

Hence, AB = 13 cm
