A tailor had 10 m of cloth. He used 2 m 40 cm and 2 m 60 cm
to make two shirts. How much cloth was left?​

Answer:

total cloth = 10m

cloth he used = 2m 40cm + 2m 60 cm

= 4m 100cm

1m = 100 cm

4m 100cm = 5m

cloth left = total cloth - cloth used

= 10m - 5m

= 5m
