obtained in F2 generation with the help of a checker board (punnet square).
The traits which are not found in the parental plants are expressed in the
offspring. Why?​

the traits that are found in offspring(so called recombinant type) bcz of meiosis ..hence meiosis helps in variation

In the punnet square the ratio is 9:3:3:1 of these 9 and 1 are parental type and 3and 3 are recombinant type
