TSA of the tank = 2[length×breadth + breadth×height + height×length] = 2[12×8+8×5

= 392m2
Area of the rectangular iron sheet = 392 m2
so, length × breadth = 392 ⇒ length = 392 / 2 = 196 m [as sheet is 2 m wide]
Now total cost of the sheet = Rs. (196 × 50) = Rs. 9800

Here we should not find the tsa of tank but we should find lateral surface area and then add the product of given length and breadth as these are the dimensions of the base because the tank is opened at the top
