A tank can hold 50 litres of water. At present it is only 30% full. How many litres of water shall I put so that it becomes 50% full. I want answer point wise

Answer:

Total capacity of the tank = 50 litres.

Currently filled = 30%.

We can say in other words that,

100% capacity is = 50 litres.

10% capacity will be = 50÷10 = 5 litres

So,

30% capacity will be = 5×3 = 15 litres [ 30% is exactly 3times bigger than the 10%]

And,

50% capacity will be = (50÷2) = 25 litres [50% is exactly half than the 100%]

So, we need = (25-15) = 10 litres water to make the tank fill from 30% to 50%. (Answer)
