initial amount of water in tank = 205 L
let the capacity of bucket = x L
7 buckets of water are poured.
amount of water in tank = (205 + 7x) L
10 buckets of water are drawn out
amount of water in tank = 205 + 7x - 10x = (205 -3x) L
now tank has 160 litres of water.
So 205 -3x = 160
=> -3x = 160 - 205
=> -3x = -45
=> x = (-45)/(-3) = 15 L
Hence, capacity of bucket is 15 litres
let the capacity of bucket = x L
7 buckets of water are poured.
amount of water in tank = (205 + 7x) L
10 buckets of water are drawn out
amount of water in tank = 205 + 7x - 10x = (205 -3x) L
now tank has 160 litres of water.
So 205 -3x = 160
=> -3x = 160 - 205
=> -3x = -45
=> x = (-45)/(-3) = 15 L
Hence, capacity of bucket is 15 litres
