Third Pipe can empty Tank in 4 hrs

Step-by-step explanation:

the first pipe can fill 1/2 part of the tank in 1 hour

First  pipe can fill tank in 2 hrs

the second pipe can fill 1/3 part of the tank in 1 hour

First  pipe can fill tank in 3 hrs

Together both pipe can fill in 1 hr = 1/2 + 1/3

= 5/6

Third Pipe emptying Tank in T hrs

Third Pipe emptying in 1 hr = 1/T

5/6 - 1/T  = 7/12

10T - 12 = 7T

=> 3T = 12

=> T = 4

Third Pipe can empty Tank in 4 hrs
