The tank can hold 216000 liters of water

Given:

A tank holds 27000 litres of water

[ In given sum 2700 might be wrong the corrected one is 27000 ]

To find:

How Many litres of water would the Pond hold if its dimension were doubled the first one

Solution:

Let's say the tank is a cubical tank and a be the side of tank

The volume of tank =  a³

Given that a tank holds 27000 litres of water

then volume of the tank = 27000 litres

To convert liters into meters divide liters by 1000

27000 litres =  \frac{27000}{1000} = 27 m³

a³ = 27

a³ = 3³

⇒  a = 3  meters

Side of the tank is 3 meter

If the dimensions is doubled, Side of the tank = 2(3 m) = 6 m

then volume of the tank = (6 m)³ = 216 m³

To convert 216 m³ into liters multiply with 1000

216 m³ = 216 × 1000 liters = 216000 liters

The tank can hold 216000 liters of water
