Area of circle=πr

2

Where r is the radius of the cylinder .

As given

The base area of the cylinder is 16 square metre .

(As the base of the cylinder in the form of circle.)

16 = pi*r^2

16/2 pi = r^2

r^2=8

r=2.82 m

Volume V = pi*r^2*h

plug the values

V= pi*2.82^2*48

=1198.72 m^3
