A taxi charges a fare Rs. 2550 for a journey of 150 km. How much would it change for a journey of 124 km.

For 124km a taxi charges a fare of

So, for 124 km a taxi charges a fare of Rs. 2108

In travelling 150 km, the taxi fair is = Rs 2550

Then, for 1 km, it be = Rs (2550/150)

Therefore, for 124 km, the required taxi fair be

= Rs {(2550/150) × 124}

= Rs 2108
