Height of building = 7 m

Height of the tower is  = 3.66 m

Step-by-step explanation:

From the diagram,

AB = Length of the tower = y

BD = Length of the building = x + 2

From Δ B C F

\tan 45° = \frac{x}{5}

⇒ 1 = \frac{x}{5}

⇒ x = 5

Thus height of building = 2 + x = 2 + 5 = 7 m

From Δ A C F

\tan 60° = \frac{AC}{CF}

⇒ 1.732 = \frac{y + x}{5}

⇒ y + x = 8.66

⇒ y = 8.66 - x

⇒ y = 8.66 - 5

⇒ y = 3.66 m

Thus height of the tower is y = 3.66 m
