When a the coin is placed on the revolving table , the coin stays on the table because of the force of friction between the coin and the table. This frictional force balances the centrifugal force of the table .
When the centrifugal force becomes greater than the frictional force , the coin flies off tangentially due to inertia of direction as the coin has the tendency to regain its natural straight line path.
