u= 30m/s

v=0 at highest point

t= 3s

s= v^2-u^2/2*-g = 900/20= 45m

It will take 3+3 = 6 seconds to return to ground from starting point

Explanation:

Data:

vi=30m/s

t1=3s(3 seconds of moving upward of tennis ball)

Vf=0m/s

t2= 30s(3 seconds of moving back downward of tennis ball)

h=?

T(total time)=?

g(gravitational acceleration)=10m/s*2

by using equation of motion for bodies moving gravity:.:.

* h=Vi-1/2×g×t

h=30×3s-1/2×10(3)*2

h=90-1/2×10(9)

h=90-45

h=45m/s

*. T=t1+t2

T=3s+3s

T=6s
