A tennis player returns, with his racket, a tennis ball
mass 100 g coming towards him with a speed of
160 km h-1. If the ball returns with the same speed
and it remains in contact with racket for 0.1 s, find
the force exerted by him on the ball.

 \underline{ \huge \boxed{ \bold{ \mathfrak{ \purple{Answer}}}}}

Given :

mass of ball = 0.1 kg

initial velocity = 44.44 m/s

final velocity = -44.44 m/s (opposite)

time interval = 0.1 s

To Find :

Force exerts by rackrt on ball.

Formula :

As per Newton's second law of motion..

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \dag \:  \underline{ \boxed{ \bold{ \rm{ \pink{F =  \frac{ \triangle{P}}{ \triangle{t}}  =  \frac{m(v - u)}{ \triangle{t}}}}}}}  \:  \dag

Calculation :

 \implies \rm \: F =  \frac{0.1( - 44.44  - 44.44)}{0.1}  =  - 88.88 \: N \\  \\  \therefore \:  \underline{ \boxed{ \bold{ \rm{ \orange{F  ≈  - 90 \: n}}}}} \:  \red{ \clubsuit}
