The total area of canvas required is  241.623 m²

1) The Tent has a cylinder base with a radius of  4.5 m and height 4.8 m

The area required to make the cylindrical part would be curved surface area of Cylinder : 2πrh = 2*3.14*4.5*4.8 = 135.648 m²

2) The top part of tent is conical with radius of  4.5 m and height 10.8-4.8 = 6m

The area required to make the conical part would be curved surface area of Cone : πrl where l = \sqrt{r^{2} + h^2 } =\sqrt{4.5^2 + 6^2 } = 7.5

= 3.14 * 4.5 *  7.5 = 105.975 m²

3) hence the total area required would be 135.648 + 105.975 = 241.623 m²
