A tent is in the form of a cylinder whose height is 5m surmounted by a cone of equal base. The diameter of base is 105m. The slant height of cone is 50m. Find the cost of cloth ₹15 per.sq metre to make the tent

curved surface area of cone = 22/7 x 52.5 x 50 = 8250

curved surface area of cylinder = circumference of base x height

circumference of base = 22/7 x 105 = 330

curved surface area of cylinder = 330 x 5 = 1650

you don't need the base area right...?

so total surface area is 1650 + 8250 = 9900

and what's Rs.15? times it by 9900 anyway and that'll be the answer.

According to the 2019 syllabus 50m of slant height is changed to 60m so for that I have the answer, see in the attachment
