A tent is in the form of a cylinder whose height is surmounted by a cone of equal base . The diameter of base is 105 m . The slant height of cone is 50m . Find the cost of cloth at rs. 15 per sq metre to make the tent. Solution from navneet practise set

first take out the chord surface area of the cone and cylinder then x 15 then you can put the cost of the clock that you have required for the solution

curved surface area of cylinder = circumference of base x height
circumference of base = 22/7 x 105 = 330

so total surface area is 1650 + 8250 = 9900
