A tent is in the shape of a right circular cylinder up to a height of 3 m and conical above it. The total height of the tent is 13.5 m and the radius of the base is 14m. Find the cost of cloth required to make the tent at the rate of Rs.80 per m2 .​

Given :-

  • height :- 13.5 - 3 = 10.5
  • radius :- 14m

To find :-

  • Find the cost of cloth required to make the tent at the rate of Rs.80 per m²

solution :-

:\implies\sf  \: (2\pi \: rh + \pi \: r \:) \\  \\  \\ :\implies\sf  \: \pi(2 \times 14 \times 3  + 14) \\  \\  \\ :\implies\sf  \:  \sqrt{ {14}^{2}  +  {10.5}^{2} } \\  \\  \\ :\implies\sf  \: \pi(84 + 14 \times 11.5) \\  \\  \\ :\implies\sf  \: \pi(84 + 245) \\  \\  \\

:\implies\sf  \:  \frac{22}{7}  \times 317 \\  \\  \\ :\implies\sf  \: 1034m^{2}  \\  \\  \\

∴ the cost is 1034m²
