We have ,

Total length of the rope = 117^ 1/3 m = 352/3

Now this rope is cut into equal pieces of equal length.

Length of each piece = 7^1/3 m = 22/3 m

No. of pieces = length of rope divided by length of each piece

= 352/3 ÷ 22/3

= 352/3 x 3/22

3 get cancelled

= 352/22 = 16 is the answer
