When a thin metal sheet will be placed in the middle of a parallel plate capacitor then the capacitance will increase.

• The introduction of sheet inside will have two parts, a part of thickness with air and another with the plate, where Ke = 0.
• As the dielectric constant of a sheet K>1 therefore  e will increase upon the introduction of the thin plate
• Placing of the sheet in between the plate capacitor will increase the capacitance by the factor that is equal to the dielectric constant of the given metal sheet.
