A Tiger in the Zoo is a poem written by Leslie Norris. This poem shows how the life of a Tiger changes when he's held captive inside the four walls of a cage. A tiger is a majestic animal which is made by God to roam in the jungle and live a peaceful life there. The tiger helplessly stalks the length of his cage. He is full of anger but his anger is suppressed inside the cage. Instead of being under the concrete roof, the tiger should have been lurking in the forest, quietly searching for its prey. He should have been an animal whom the human beings fear, but instead of that today he's in the cage. He takes no attention to all the visitors who enjoy seeing him captivated.
In nature all animals are made equally by the Almighty. We have no right to take away the freedom of some other animals. Human beings all over the world discourage the rule of discrimination and the chains of slavery. Then why do we cage the innocent animals?
The tiger inside the cage stays awake till late night. He can hear the sound of the patrolling cars. When all the sound fades, and darkness starts to rule, the tiger looks up with his bright eyes- at the bright stars - as if asking God why he has been deprived of his freedom.
Answer:
It is indeed miserable keeping animals in a. It's the only place where lives without any fault are punished. They lose their freedom. We are a playing a role of Britishers to them. We, the Indians weren't free hundreds of years ago as we were ruled and punished by the Britishers for no reason. It's the same in case of the tiger. They also get angry and starts ignoring visitors as they are deprived of their freedom. Yes there is a lesson. And the lesson is before we see anyone in pain and start laughing we should feel the pain that they might have experienced. We must be fully assured about the pain others are facing and move forward a helping hand.We should not keep the wild animals in the zoo. By keeping them in the zoo we r taking their freedom in our hand. That is not at all fair. In the poem poet wanta toake us aware of the cruelty done by humana on animals.
