E = 216 kj

Given:-

P = 60 w

V = 220 v

T = 1 hour

1 hr = 3600 s

To find :-

Energy consumed in 1 hr.

Solution:-

Energy consumed by torch bulb is given by :-

 E = P. T

Now,

put the given value

We get,

 E = 60 \times 36,00

 E = 216000 j

Now , convert it in to kilojoules

 1 KJ = 1000 j

 E = \dfrac{216000}{1000}

 E = 216 kj

hence,

Electrical energy consumed by torch bulb is 216 kj in 1 hour .
