A total of ₹10000 is distributed among 150 people as gifts of each type. A gift is either ₹50/ ₹100 Find the no of gifts of each type

let the no. of gift of Rs100 = x
of Rs50 = y

then
=> x + y = 150
=> 50x + 100y = 10000
x + 2y = 200

suppose there are two types of gift a and b and cost of that Rs. 50 and Rs. 100 respectively;
50a+100b=10000; eq. 1
a+b=150; multiply this equation by 50 ;
50a+50b=150*50;
50a+50b=7500; subtract this eq. from eq. 1;
we get
50b=2500;
b=50; a=100
