Answer:

Option A - 10 km East.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A tourist drives 10 km towards east and turns to the right hand and drives 3 km.Then he drives towards west (turning to his right). He then turns to his left and drives 2 km. Finally he turns to his right and travels 7 km.

To find : How far is he from his starting point and in which direction?

Solution :

Refer the attached figure below.

A tourist drives 10 km towards east i.e, AC=10 km

Turns to the right hand and drives 3 km i.e, CD= 3 km

Then he drives towards west (turning to his right) i.e, DE=3 km

He then turns to his left and drives 2 km i.e, EF=2 km

Finally he turns to his right and travels 7 km i.e, FB=7 km.

The distance from Point A to B is 7+3=10 km in the direction of East.

Therefore, Option A is correct.

From his starting point the distance is 10 km.
