tan θ = \frac{Perpendicular}{Base}

⇒ tan 45° = \frac{AB}{BC}

⇒  tan 45° = \frac{h}{12}

⇒ 1 = \frac{h}{12}

h = 12 m

Thus, the height of the tower is 12 m.
