Answer:

0.105 m/s²

Explanation:

by 3rd equation of motion

given, v= 50 cm/s = 0.5 m/s ( final velocity)

          u= 20 cm/s = 0.2 m/s ( initial velocity)

          S = 1m

               v² - u² =2aS

                 (0.5)² - (0.2)² = 2(1) a

                 0.25- 0.04 = 2a

                0.21= 2a

acceleration produced is 0.105 m/s²

hope it helps

Answer

  • Acceleration , a = 0.105 m/s²

Given

  • A toy car was moving at a speed of 20 cm/s . After going a distance of 1 meter,the speed of that car is 50 cm/s

To Find

  • Acceleration ,a

Solution

Initial speed , u = 20 cm/s = 0.2 m/s

Final speed , v = 50 cm/s = 0.5 m/s

Distance , s = 1 m

Acceleration , a = ? m/s²

Apply 3rd equation of motion .

v² - u² = 2as

⇒ 0.5² - 0.2² = 2a(1)

⇒ 0.25 - 0.04 = 2a

⇒ 0.21 = 2a

a = 0.105 m/s²
