let the trader bougth 100kgs for 100 rupees

Given trader marks up his goods by 60% i.e., marked price is 160

also given he gave a discount of 25% on 160 rupees

=>(25/100)*160=40 rupees was decreased on 160.

Hence sp of product now becomes 160-40

                                                 =>sp=120 rupees

Alsop given weight of product is decreased by 20%

Hence weight now becomes 100-20

                                               =>80kgs

from this we can say that trader is selling 80kgs at rate of 120

80kgs----------------->120 rupees

100kgs---------------->x

x=(100/80)*120

=>x=150

Hence from this we can say that trader is selling 100kgs at rate of 150 rupees,but he purchased 100kgs for 100 rupees.

Hence he gains a profit of  "50%"  on the goods he sell
