The profit percentage is 11.11%

  • The ratio of coffee and chicory in the mixture is 5:2.
  • Let the amount of coffee mixed be x kg.
  • Amount of chicory mixed would be 2x/5 kg.
  • cost of x kg coffee is Rs 350x.
  • Cost of 2x/5 kg chicory is Rs 28x.
  • Total money spent on mixture is 350x+ 28x = 378x.
  • Total weight of mixture = x+2x/5 = 7x/5 kg
  • Price of mixture is 7x/5*300 = Rs 420x.
  • Profit = 420x-378x = 42x.
  • profit Percentage = (42x/378x )*100 = 11.11%
