ANSWER 》》

Distance covered by train in 5 seconds = 100m

Distance covered by train in 1second = 100/5 = 20m.

So Speed of the train is 20m/sec.

ii)

Distance = 500m

Speed = 20m / sec.

Time = ?

Speed = d/t

t = d/speed

Time = 500 ÷ 20

= 25 seconds.

Answer:

Hey Mate! Here is your answer:

Explanation:

The train passes the pole in 5 sec. This means that it covers itself in 5 sec.

So, we can say that the train covers 100 m in 5 sec.

a) Speed of train = Total Distance Covered/Total Time Taken

                            = 100 m/5 sec

                            = 20m/s

b) Time taken to cover 100 m = 5 sec

   Time taken to cover 500 m = (5/100)*500

                                                  = 25 sec
