Using formula velocity(v)=distance(s)/time(t)
First convert v into m/s...42×5/18=11.6 m/s
Also the distance to be covered will be 280m because from the point the train touches the man and the point the train leaves the man the distance covered will be equal to length of train ie, 280m
As, v=s/t....therefore, t=s/v
=280/11.6
=24.1 sec
