  • In this question , it's given that a Train is moving at a uniform speed and it covers 350km in 3 \times \frac{1}{2} hours . And we have to find the speed of the train and the distance covered in 5 hours. For this , We will find the speed first then we will apply the Formula Distance = Speed × Time to find the distance covered in 5 hours.

\large\underline{ \underline{ \sf \maltese\red{ \: Given :- }}}

  • Distance = \sf\green{ 350km }\\
  • Time = \sf\green{ 3 \times \frac{1}{2} \: = \: \frac{7}{2}hours } \\

\large\underline{ \underline{ \sf \maltese\red{ \: Solution:- }}}

\begin{gathered}\begin{gathered}\begin{gathered}: \implies \underline\blue{ \boxed{\displaystyle \sf \bold\orange{\: Speed \: = \:   \frac{Distance}{Time}  }} }\\ \\\end{gathered}\end{gathered}\end{gathered}

\qquad \quad {:} \longrightarrow \sf{\sf{Speed \: = \:  350 \:  \div  \:  \frac{7}{2}   }}\\ \\

\qquad \quad {:} \longrightarrow \sf{\sf{Speed \: = \:   \frac{350 \:  \times  \: 2}{7}   }}\\ \\

\qquad \quad {:} \longrightarrow \sf{\sf{Speed \: = \:   \frac{\cancel{350} \:  \times  \: 2}{\cancel7}   }}\\ \\

\qquad \quad {:} \longrightarrow \sf{\sf{Speed \: = \:   50 \: \times \: 2  }}\\ \\

\qquad\quad {:} \longrightarrow \underline \red{\boxed{\sf{ Speed \: = \: 100km/h   }}}

\bf \therefore \; Speed \; = 100km/h

Distance Covered in 5 hours :-

\begin{gathered}\begin{gathered}\begin{gathered}: \implies \underline\blue{ \boxed{\displaystyle \sf \bold\orange{\: Distance \: = \: Speed \: × \: Time }} }\\ \\\end{gathered}\end{gathered}\end{gathered}

\qquad \quad {:} \longrightarrow \sf{\sf{Distance \: = \: 100\: × \: 5}}\\ \\

\qquad\quad {:} \longrightarrow \underline \red{\boxed{\sf{ \: Distance\: = \: 500km  }}}

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

\begin{gathered}\begin{gathered}\qquad \therefore\: \sf{ Distance\: Covered \: in \: 5 \: hours = \underline {\underline{ 500km}}}\\\end{gathered}\end{gathered}

Speed = distance/ time

= 350 / 3.5

= 100 km/h

distance = speed × time

= 100 × 5

= 500 km/h

hope it may help you
