A train covers a distance of 200 km at the speed of 50 km/h and the next 200km at he speed 75 km/h. find its average speed

In 1st case

Distance = 200 km 
Speed = 50 km/h

So, time= distance /speed
             = 200/50 = 4 h

In 2nd Case

Distance = 200 km
Speed = 75 km/h

So, time = distance/speed
              = 200/75
              = 8/3 h

So, Total distance = 400 Km
 and total time = 4+8/3 = 20/3

So, Average Speed = total Distance Travelled/Total Time Taken
                                 = 400/20/3
                                 = 60 Km/h
