. A train covers a distance of 90 km at a uniform speed. Had the speed Been 15 km/hr more, it would have taken half an hour less the journey. Final original speed of train.

let train speed =x and original time =y
90/x=y -----------(1)
90/(x+15)=y-1/2 ------------(2)
solve this equation
90 {15/(x^2+15x)}=1/2
2700=x^2+15x
use quadratic formula
now
x=45km/h
