area of triangle AMN = 1/2 × AM × AN

area of trapezium ANOC = 1/2 (AN + OC ) × AC
= 1/2 × (AN + OC) × (MC - MA)
= 1/2 × (2.5cm + 3cm) × (6cm - 2cm)
= 1/2 × 5.5 cm × 4cm
= 11cm²

area of triangle OCP = 1/2 × OC × CP
= 1/2 × OC × (MP - MC)
= 1/2 × 3cm × (9cm - 6cm)
= 1/2 × 3cm × 3cm
= 4.5 cm²

area of triangle MBR = 1/2 × MB × BR
= 1/2 × 4cm × 2.5cm
= 5cm²

area of trapezium BDQR = 1/2 × (DQ + BR) × BD
= 1/2 × (2.5cm + 2cm) × (MD - MB)
= 1/2 × 4.5cm × (7cm - 4cm)
= 1/2 × 4.5cm × 3cm
= 6.75cm²

area of triangle DPQ = 1/2 × DQ × DP
= 1/2 × 2cm × (MP - MD)
= 1cm × (9cm - 7cm)
= 2cm²

so, area of polygon MNOPQR = 2.5 cm² + 11cm² + 4.5cm² + 5cm2 + 6.75 cm² + 2cm²
= 31.75 cm²
