a train covers the first 160km of a journey at 40km/h, the next 180km at 45km/h, and the last 200km at 50/h. find (i)the total time takes to complete the journey and(ii) the average speed of the train during the whole journey.

Answer:

total time = 160/40 + 180/45 + 200/50 = 12hrs

av.speed= (160+180+200)/12= 45km/h
