let the other altitude = x cm

take the area of parallelogram let base=16 and height =6

and another time with base=12 and height =x

in both condition area will be same.

area of parallelogram = base* altitude

base* height = BASE * HEIGHT

16* 6= 12 * x

x=96/12

x= 8cm

so altitude PN = 8cm
