A train first travels for 30 min with a velocity
30 Km/hr and then for 40 min with a velocity 40km/hr in the same direction, calculate (i) the total distance travelled (ii) the average velocity of the train.​

30=d/30

d=30×30=900 (1.)

40=d/40

d=40×40=1600 (2.)

total distance = 1600+900=2500

(b) vav = (v+u)/2

=(30+40)/2

=70/2

=35km/hr
