The relative velocity of train with respect to man is 40 - 25 = 15 kmph

For the man it appears that the train is going at 15kmph with respect to him.

converting the pseed into m/s we get

15 x (5/18) = 25/6 m/s

The length of train = (speed with respect to man) x (time taken to cross the man)

The length of train = 25/6 m/s x 48s = 25 x 8 m = 200m
