Heya there!
Here is the answer...

Speed = 90km/h
= 5/18 × 90
= 25ms^-1
v = 0
a = - 0.5ms^-2

From equation 3rd

v^2 = u^2 + 2as

(0)^2 = (25)^2 + 2 × (- 0.5) × s

0 = 625 + (- 1.0)s

0 - 625 = - 1.0

S = 625m ans.

Hope, it will help you...

Given:

u=90Km/hr or90*\frac{5}{18} = 25m/s

Uniform acceleration =-0.5m/s^{2}

v = 0 (since, the train is brought at rest)

v^{2}= u^{2} +2as\\=>625+2*-0.5*s = 0\\=>-s=-625\\=>s=625\\

Therefore, total distance traveled by the train is 625 m

Here, formula applied are:-

v^{2}= u^{2} +2as
