Given V1= 120 km/hr

And 1 mile=1.609344 km

So V2= 40*1.609344=64.37376 km/hr

Avg. Speed =2* V1*V2/(V1+V2)

= 2*120*64.37376/(120+64.37376)

=83.79 km/hr
