with the speed of 30km/hr. in 15 mins.
d=30×15/60
d=15/2km
with the speed of 40km/hr. in 15 mins.
d=40×15/60
d=10km
with the speed of 60km/hr. in 30 mins.
d=60×30/60
d=30kms
so, total distance travelled by train=15/2+10+3
D=95/2
and total time=15+15+30
T=60mins or 1 hr
we know that S=D/T
then average speed of train=95/2/1
arg. S= 47.5kms/hr.
