a train of certain length travelling with a speed of 36 km/h crosses a bridge of 600 m in 80 sec then find the length of the train

let the length of the train be l. Now it crosses a bridge of 600 m in 80 sec. So the total length travelled by the train in those 80 sec will be 600+l. because the train has crossed it we added the length of the train.
Now we know distance=speed*time
(600+l)m=36kmph*80sec
we have to maintain consistency in units. So change kmph to meter per sec. For that multiply with 5/18. so 36kmph=10mps
600+l=10*80
600+l=800
l=200m
therefore length of the train is 200metres.
