a train of length 240m crosses a platform in 30seconds and a man standing on the platform in 18seconds.what is speed of train?

Answer:

length of the platform = speed * extra time taken to cross the platform

240m = speed*[30s-18s]

240m = speed*12s

speed = 240m/12s

20 m/s

1 km/h = 5/18 m/s

speed in km/h = 18/5 * 20

72km/h
