A train passes by a stationary man standing in platform in 7 seconds and passes by the platform completely in 28 seconds. if the lenght of platform is 330 metres, what is the lenght of the train

Firstly, to calculate the speed of train.
Distance covered =
length of platform + length of train
=> 330 + x. (taken length of train - x)
Speed = distance/time = (330 + x)/28.
Now. The train covers a man in 7 seconds.
In this case, total length = x
Speed of train = x/7.
Now... We have two equations for speed.
So, x/7 = (330 +x) / 28
=> x = (330 +x)/4
=> 4x = 300 +x
=> x =300/3
=> x = 100m/s
Hence, speed of train is 100m/s.
