A train passes over a 1000 meter long bridge in 2 minutes. The length of the train is half that of the bridge. What is the speed of the train?

Length of the bridge = 1000m
Length of the train =1/2*1000 = 500m
Therefore, the distance covered by it on crossing the bridge
= 500m + 1000m
=1500m
Time taken = 2mins = 120s
The speed of the train
= 1500m /120s
= 12.5 m /s (Ans)
